Udder starting to change.
27 - Day 293
28 - Day 294
29 - Day 295
30 - Day 296

Annie has quite a bit of udder change in the last 24 hours.  She's also off her feed, laying down a great deal.  Foal movements can be see back on the top of her croup.  Worrisome signs this early..

May
Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday

1 - Day 297
Udder continues to enlarge.  While not foal ready, it's changing quite rapidly.  Milked fluid out, not plentiful, but is cloudy.   We've put up a camera in Annie's stall to keep an eye on her when she's in.

2 - Day 298
No udder change today (YEAH!), but Annie is very, very slowed down.  Appetite is still off.  No fever, no sign of illness.  It's hard to imagine her growing for 40 more days.

3 - Day 299

Slight udder increase today.  Fluid in the udder, but not enough to warrant calcium testing.  Annie is still off her feed, spends a great deal of time laying down.  Hoping she holds on until day 320.

4 - Day 300

Annie didn't want to go out for turn out today.  Changed paddocks so she can be alone.  Not much udder change.  Appetite still poor, energy levels WAY down.

5 - Day 301

6 - Day 302

Udder continues to grow.  Fluid is still clear yellow, quite salty.  Annie's appetite is still off, she has no energy.  Foal movement can be felt on the top of her hindquarters.

7 - Day 303

Holding steady...no substantial changes today.

8 - Day 304

Udder slightly larger, but no fluid to speak of.  Annie very slowed down..

9 - Day 305

Udder larger, milked some fluid out.  Yellow, thick.  Will probably start calcium testing tomorrow..
10 - Day 306

Milked some fluid, but not enough to warrant testing yet.  Annie VERY slowed down.
11 - Day 307

Quite a large udder, but doesn't milk easily or a lot.  We'll calcium test as soon there is enough fluid to warrant it.
12 - Day 308

Milk is still clear, yellow and not plentiful.  Udder is slightly larger today.  Annie doesn't get around well..
13 - Day 309

Udder slightly larger today.  She's got some fluid down in her teats, but the milk is still clear/yellow..
14 - Day 310

Udder continues to fill, fluid is still clear, yellow.
15 - Day 311

16 - Day 312

Quite sunken next to the tail, softening.
17 - Day 313

Appetite off, really slow moving around.
18 - Day 314

19 - Day 315

20 - Day 316

Udder changing, has that "powered sugar" look tonight.
21 - Day 317

Udder larger, warm.  Milk still clear yellow.  Annie is holding her tail sideways..
22 - Day 318

Udder actually shrunk a bit, changed shape.  Appetite improved.
23 - Day 319

Udder unchanged, quite a bit of clear, yellow fluid.
24 - Day 320

Uneventful day.  Appetite continues to be better..
25 - Day 321

Milk is starting to become cloudy.  Hindquarters are quite hollow.  Udder growing.
26 - Day 322

Tested milk, not on the scale yet.  Slightly cloudy.

27 - Day 323

No change today.

28 - Day 324
29 - Day 325
30 - Day 326
31 - Day 327

June
Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday

1 - Day 328

Tested milk, below 50 PPM.  Fluid still yellow and clear, slightly cloudy.

2 - Day 329

3 - Day 330

Udder fuller today.  Belly shape is different.

4 - Day 331

Tested milk, still below 50 PPM.  Annie has deep hollows next to her tail head..

5 - Day 332

Udder larger, fluid down in teats.  Still only slightly cloudy, but LOTS of it.

6 - Day 333

Annie is holding her tail sideways - which is a 'last week' habit of hers.  Milk still yellow/clear.  Very saggy butt!

7 - Day 334

Fluid down in the teats, still clear/yellow.  Annie's appetite has picked up today.

8 - Day 335

It doesn't seem like Annie can grow any more!  Udder quite full, milk still not white.

9 - Day 336

Annie did a LOT of rolling today (hence all the mud).  Udder very full, milk turning white.  She's close.

10 - Day 337

Last night Annie had an episode of pawing - looked like early labor.  Stopped after about an hour.  Today, milk tests over 250 PPM, tail is up/out, hindquarters are sunken.  Milk is thick, opaque but quite yellow.  Annie's milk is usually white at foaling.  Expect a foal tonight or tomorrow night.
11

Calcium at 500 PM, this AM.  foaling is imminent.  Been dripping milk all day.  Eating tonight with spells of restlessness.

It's a tall colt!  Photos soon!  Great fellow!
